Abstract

The article reveals the essential characteristics of the structure and functions of civic culture, as a priority in the upbringing of a harmoniously developed generation. The essence of civic culture is clarified; the content and functions of this phenomenon are characterized.


The main components of civic culture are characterized as a citizen, citizenship, civic activism, civic consciousness, civic conviction, civic thinking, civic duty, civic duty, culture of interethnic communication, patriotism, national pride. From the point of view of socio-economic and spiritual-educational progress of society, the functions of civic culture are characterized.
