Abstract

An attempt was made to comprehend the translation process from the point of view of the linguistics of the text. The text of the original and the text of the translation are considered as two versions of one communicative message. The stages of the pre -translation and translation analysis of the text are proposed , the main factors that determine the translation strategies and the choice of translation techniques are listed.
