The article analyses various ways of studying sentences and the history of studies of adjoining sentences in German language. The joint construction phenomenon is a problematic issue among linguists and has been studied in many languages as a stylistic, i.e.,
methodological phenomenon. However, in spite of this, some aspects of the joint construction phenomenon have not yet been fully resolved.
