Abstract

In recent years, the automatic object detection and tracking in a video scene is an interesting and most challenging area of computer vision with key applications in video surveillance for public safety against crime, defense technology, vehicle navigation etc. Video surveillance is a technology which works in dynamic environment in various events such as sports, public safety and management of traffic. Given an input video sequence, the system will automatically extract moving objects and will compute their bounding box, their centre of mass, their direction and their size.
